Why We Do Marketing

      

This is my favorite clip from all of the episodes of Mad Men.  As a marketer, it’s the ideal. Don Draper’s character tells a great story, shares something of himself–something he personally can relate to about the product–and in the end, he touches people.

Social media gives us so many more opportunities than advertising ever did.  We tend to use the buzzwords transparency and authenticity but it’s really much simpler than that.
